About this tour

Climbing Mt. Fuji in the traditional style is the most popular itinerary.
On day 1, meet at the 5th Station on the Yoshida Route Subaru Line and climb for 5 hours to the Taishikan mountain hut.
Spend the night there. On day 2, depart early, watch the sunrise at the Original 8th Station, then head to the summit.
You can return to Tokyo or Osaka on the same day.
Alternatively, you can take a course to see the sunrise at the summit or rest at the mountain hut until morning.

Arrival at Subaru Line 5th Station

Please arrive at Subaru Line 5th Station by around 11:00 on Day 1. It is recommended to depart from Tokyo in the morning or from the Fujiyoshida/Kawaguchiko area at around 9:30 in the morning. At the 5th Station, let’s have an early lunch and get used to the high altitude and thin air. If there are any missing equipment, you can rent or purchase them here.

The assigned guide will generally be waiting at the 5th Station. After meeting face-to-face, we will check our belongings and prepare for the climb. If there is time, we will also guide you to the Komitake Shrine at the 5th Station.

Departure from the 5th Station

Let’s walk at a slow pace to prevent altitude sickness. We will climb while enjoying the scenery and plants for about 5 hours until the 8th Station. There are many mountain huts and toilets along the way, so we will stop for breaks.

Taishikan is a large mountain hut located at the 8th Station with a capacity of up to 350 people, situated at an altitude of 3100 meters. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset while having a delicious dinner of curry rice. As the next day starts early, it’s recommended to sleep around 7:00 PM.

Taishikan is a large mountain hut located at the 8th Station with a capacity of up to 350 people, situated at an altitude of 3100 meters. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset while having a delicious dinner of curry rice. As the next day starts early, it’s recommended to sleep around 7:00 PM.

Departure to the summit​

To take a good rest and avoid crowds, the departure is scheduled after the peak of the climbers. You can enjoy Tokyo’s night view and starry sky if you go outside. The temperature is around 10℃, and you will start with a headlight on. It takes about 4 hours from here to the summit.

Sunrise

In the standard itinerary of TEAM JIN, you will see the sunrise around the 8th Station (3400m). You can slowly enjoy the sunrise rising from the horizon without the crowds of climbers that you often hear on Mt. Fuji.

start climbing again.

To rest the body and avoid crowds, we will depart after the peak of the climbing season. Once outside, you can enjoy the night view of Tokyo and the stars. The temperature is about 10℃(50℉), so we will depart with headlamps on. It takes about four hours from here to the summit.

Arrival at the summit of Mount Fuji​

Congratulations on reaching the summit via the Yoshida route! After taking a commemorative photo, let’s eat something warm at the mountain top restaurant, visit the shrine, and check out the souvenirs. We will also take you to the observation deck of the crater.
If the weather is good, you can also enjoy the “Ohachi-meguri” (crater trekl) course. You can decide on the day whether to take this route or not. It takes about two hours to walk around the crater at the summit and visit “Kengamine,” the highest point in Japan.

Depending on the weather, you may be able to see a sea of clouds and enjoy the view of walking above the clouds. We will take breaks at key points during the descent and stretch to avoid hurting your knees.
