- Fushimi-Inari Shrine is renowned for its numerous orange gates, and hiking through the mountain is a popular pilgrimage. The contrast between the orange gates and the lush green leaves is breathtaking!
- Your guide will explain the hidden system of torii gates, various aspects of the shrine, and recommend photo spots along the well-maintained hiking route. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit a torii gate factory and hike through a bamboo forest.
- After the short pilgrimage, we’ll indulge in the locals’ favorite lunch. Let’s enjoy some delicious soba noodles and cute sushi (other options are available).

The Heart of Japanese Culture: Geiko (Also Known as Geisha) Geiko are a critical part of Japanese culture, and they maintain a strict membership system. However, on this tour, guests are invited to a private session to enjoy their performance while dining a delicious meal in a special teahouse Your guide will explain the proper manners and etiquette one by one so that you can fully enjoy the experience. As a Kimono Trip member, you’ll have a private table and the opportunity to talk directly with Geiko-san and participate in mini-games with them. Additionally, a special kimono lecture by Geiko-san and the teahouse owner will be included, and they may even offer some old kimono clothes for you to see.

■Points of Tour
On this tour, we will visit the essential spots of Japanese food culture and an old geisha museum. A special experience will be the dashi tasting at the traditional shop “Uneno.” Next, we’ll explore the Shimabara area, take a town walk, and visit an old geisha house called “Sumiya.” Kyoto’s wholesale market is the heart of Japanese food culture, where your guide will explain the transportation and auction system. Despite being well-organized, the market retains an exciting and chaotic Asian atmosphere. To conclude the tour, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch around the market.

Application and cancellation policy
Application page
If you cancel for your own reasons, the following cancellation fees will apply:
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the excursion tour: 0% fee
- Cancellation 6 to 0 days before the excursion tour: 100% fee
However, if the excursion is canceled due to extremely bad weather or unforeseen circumstances such as an earthquake, blackout, etc., the excursion fee will be fully refunded.
