Itinerary

Take a local Hankyu train to the peaceful suburb of Minoh. Enjoy the changing scenery from the window—so different from the neon lights of Dotonbori, you’ll see a more rural side of Osaka.
Arriving at Minoh Station, the mountains rise right in front of you and the atmosphere instantly feels relaxing. Stroll along the riverside path, passing old buildings and temples. One temple was once a training site for monks, with waterfalls and sacred fire rituals.

In the second half, enjoy a hike with gentle ups and downs surrounded by nature. The autumn leaves here are breathtaking. The highlight is Minoh Waterfall, one of Japan’s “Top 100 Waterfalls.” Sipping refreshing yuzu cider while viewing the falls is a perfect reward. On the way back, we take an easier path toward the station.

Minoh is full of hidden local restaurants loved by residents. Based on your preference, your guide will recommend a spot—popular options include udon, soba, ramen, or slow-cooked curry. After lunch, the tour concludes. You can take the train back to Osaka Station or continue exploring charming Minoh on your own.

Comments from the planner

Minoh is truly a wonderful place. I live in Osaka, and on my days off I often go there with my family to refresh and relax. Osaka is not only about Dotonbori or the busy area around Osaka Station—there is also the beauty of its countryside and nature. I created this tour because I want visitors to experience that side of Osaka. It’s perfect for nature lovers, those who want to escape the city’s hustle, and anyone who enjoys being active outdoors.
